We understand your anticipation to be hair-free, and we want to ensure a smooth experience. Please review this important information to avoid any potential limitations on your treatment and guarantee a successful session.
Avoid waxing, hair removal creams, tweezing, electrolysis, and bleaching your hair leading up to your appointment.
Minimize sun exposure, including tanning beds, spray-tans, and self-tanners. When outdoors, protect your skin with sunscreen (SPF 50+), wide-brimmed hats, sunglasses, and protective clothing. If you recently had sun exposure, kindly contact us to reschedule your appointment.
Avoid applying any prescription topical products to the areas that will be treated with the laser.
To ensure optimal results, please shave the designated treatment area(s) the day before your appointment using a clean razor in the direction of hair growth. For areas with finer hair on the face, trimming with scissors or a facial hair trimmer is acceptable. If you arrive without shaving, we may need to reschedule or adjust the treatment accordingly.
Before your appointment, please ensure that the treatment area is free from makeup, deodorant, lotion, sunscreen, and any other products. We understand if you forget, as we have wipes available for your convenience.
Have there been any recent changes in your medical history, such as new diagnoses, pregnancies, or medications? Inform us, as certain medical conditions and medications may affect your laser treatment. Your safety is paramount, and we may need to reschedule your appointment accordingly.
If you have a history of HSV-1 or HSV-2 and we are treating those areas, it is advisable to begin taking antiviral medication 24-48 hours before your treatment. This helps prevent outbreaks and should be continued for three to five days afterward. Please consult your primary care provider for prescription medication if needed.
If you have any tattoos in or near the treatment area, please inform us in advance. We will provide assistance in covering them up with a suitable physical barrier upon your arrival.
